At Suntoucher Mountain Guides we specialized in individualized guided climbs world wide. As climbers we choose our climbs for many reasons; their size, beauty and challenge are all deciding factors. The rewards of making it to the summit of spectacular peak or completing a challenging classic route are unique and stand far apart from everyday life. Whether on rock, ice or in the high mountains we focus on small ratio technical ascents in some of the most alluring locations in North America, Europe and South America . Rock climbing in New Mexico:
This is our base of operations,
join us for guided rock climbs! The abundant sunshine, coupled with
amazing weather, terrain and climbing areas allows for excellent rock climbing
year round.
Our summer schedule of classes is below; however you can come for a day of climbing anytime.
Rock I:
Harnesses, knots, rappeling and belaying, and climbing techniques.
June 16th, July 14th and Sept 1st
Rock II:
Building anchors, choosing the right equipment, building skills for multi-pitch climbing or sport leading, advanced climbing techniques.
June 23rd & 24th, July 28th & 29th, Sept 8th & 9th.
Advanced Lead Seminar:
Time management for multi-pitch routes, belay transistions, techniques for fast and solid anchor construction, rope management and efficiency.
July 7th & 8th, Sept 15th and 16th.
